About Iris

Iris M. Striedieck is the sole proprietor of Ridge Sewing and celebrated her 15^th year of business in 2005.  With over 30 years of sewing experience, she brings expertise and a passion to her work.  As a glider and power pilot, Iris is familiar with aviation, the sport of soaring and the nuances of sailplane models.  She also enjoys accompanying Karl and friends on various soaring adventures!

Iris has been around gliders for much of her life and knows how important it is to protect valuable sailplanes from the elements. Her skill and craftsmanship has quickly established her as a premier supplier of high quality canopy covers.

Her workshop is nestled on top of the Appalachian ridges in the heart of Pennsylvania and close to a growing community of ridge runners.
